私は、口紅やファンデーション、アイシャドウなどの化粧品を使用して絵を描いています。
化粧という行為は、「外見を整えて美しくなる」という美的願望を叶えるだけでなく、
鏡を見つめながら表情をつくり肌を触ることで、自らの存在を改めて認識する行為でもあります。
また、私たちは日々、周囲に演じるべき自分の姿を想像しながら化粧をしています。
それは、社会から自分を守る為の「仮面」を皮膚の上に作り上げる行為ともいえます。
私は、化粧品で描いた絵を「自画像」と捉え、
今日という現代社会を生きる自分自身を絵に描き写しています。

The act of makeup not only fulfills the aesthetic desire of “improving one's appearance and becoming beautiful”;
By looking in the mirror and making facial expressions and touching our skin, we are also able to reaffirm our own existence.
